KMI‘s processing plant is in vicinity to the MIO mine. The crude ore is sorted, sieved, washed, and classified by special techniques. Through continuous development of the beneficiation know-how, the distinguished lamellar structure of the MIO – grades is secured – independent from fineness.

Through continuous development of the beneficiation know-how and investments in state-of-the-art grinding technology KMI generated expertise in delamination and micronization of industrial minerals. This lead to an extension of the product range, including high aspect ratio (HAR) Wollastonite, Muscovite- and Phlogopite Mica. The micronized grades of these minerals and those of MIOX^® are the finest at the market place, enabling new applications in coatings and plastics.
